my new transit site

It doesn't matter if you do all the error checking in the world, or if you have the most beautiful graphics, if your site or application design isn't usable, it's not going to do well. Get input and advice on usability and user interface issues here.

my new transit site

Hey guys - just wanted to get some feedback on my latest project: http://myttc.ca

You know the drill: kick the tires, break stuff, report back.

Cheerio!

Looks pretty nice. In FF 3.0 though, when I click in the search box, the background turns blue. That might be intentional, but it made me think that I had drag+clicked and highlighted the whole search box instead of actually clicked inside. If you really want to get nit-picky (I do), these:
A street address, intersection, or famous landmark makes our trip planner very happy. And hopefully you, too.
Also, we'd think you're cool. Very cool.
are not grammatically correct. The "Very cool." is fairly reasonable (informal overall tone of the site), but starting a sentence with 'And' kind bothers me.
Additionally, something that confuses me a bit is that you say "This is a community effort" but I don't see where or how the community contributes.

Other than those (admittedly) small things, I like the site a lot. Very clean look.

It's a nice clean layout, Kieran, but it doesn't identify who you are or what it's for very effectively. Maybe you want it that way. Or maybe you anticipate that all your viewers will be "insiders" and won't need much explanation. But for anyone who stumbles across it accidentally, it takes a little reading to determine what it's all about. But hang in there, we need to popularize public transport, for sure!!

Here's a photo I took recently of my local gas station: Image

I like the simple and clean look. One thing though is the feedback form which says "thanks" when you send it without any info.
Maybe you wanted it like this, I don't know... but personally I'd expect a nice error message or something.
