Blackberry webpages

It doesn't matter if you do all the error checking in the world, or if you have the most beautiful graphics, if your site or application design isn't usable, it's not going to do well. Get input and advice on usability and user interface issues here.

Blackberry webpages

Post by mattmoriarty »

Hi. Im trying to modify our CRM system to better cope with blackberries - Id ideally like to show a page of contact information with a clickable email address (easy to do) and a clickable phone number. If you click the email address, it composes a mail message to that address (already done) and if you click the phone number it places a call to that number (this is the bit Id like to do but haven't got a scooby about).

Anyone of you lovely people have any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt

In both Windows Mobile and Palm Blazer if some text on the screen looks like a telephone number it's automatically converted into something you can click to call. Is that not the case on a Blackberry?

Thanks for this - you are correct. It does pick up the number. The issue seemed to be with other characters in the field (i.e. brackets, hyphens etc...).

Much thanks.
