My portfolio

Post by nonso »

I have had it done for awhile but I have been neglecting it of late, I know there are some issues with IE which I should probably get on but I really dislike IE so it can wait. What do you guys think?

IE does suck (all of them), but unfortunately most of the users use it, so you need to please the majority.

Very nice design and slick too. (Firefox 3)

Yeah I know, it is a shame to really. One day I will work out the IE bugs, but right now it can wait.

Thanks.

Hey, site looks nice. simple colour scheme and what not.
My only suggestion would be to consider moving the footer elsewhere to negate the requirement for a scrollbar.

Perhaps a "hide footer" link above the #content div or move it to the empty, right side of the screen. It may amount to nothing more than my personal preference, however, i usually try to avoid having a scrollbar for the whole page when all content is loaded in a single frame :D

One other tiddy thing, the margins and animation in the menu could use a little tweaking for consistency.

Looks good.

- I'd suggest centering it in the window though - it's not flush to the left so not being centered just makes it look lop-sided.
- The grey text on black background might be a bit tough for some people to read. I'd suggest making the text a little bit lighter.
- You need the "Making it simple for you" paragraph to be pushed down when Javascript is turned off.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
