Anyone familiar with ZB Block?

Discussions of secure PHP coding. Security in software is important, so don't be afraid to ask. And when answering: be anal. Nitpick. No security vulnerability is too small.

Anyone familiar with ZB Block?

Post by califdon »

It appears that my earlier forum spam problem has been resolved, but I'd like to learn more about this whole thing and perhaps avoid future problems. I've found an open source product called ZB Block, from the website http://www.spambotsecurity.com/blog/. There seems to be a lot of good reviews and I'm wondering if anyone here has used it. It sounds pretty thorough to me, but I don't have the background to evaluate it.

I am using ZB block. I like this script. It makes a perfect companion for other necessary measures, like firewalls, DDoS throttling, etc. Its configuration is simple, its footprint is tiny, it has several compatibility files to fit it into existing scripts, and its operation is rock-solid. Highly recommended!
