I believe Yahoo uses PHP.
Thats a little deceptive. Yahoo use PHP for some of their admin and management systems. I believe all the user facing stuff is still C.
Well I never said that I was sure that they even used it, and if so what for. I had just heard they did ;)

Google search brought up this article. Interesting read...

Actually, from what I saw in the article, it didn't mention Smarty at all. The Smarty Resources page did, though.

Nope. My yahoo, several portions of the finances portal, and much more (some places state "The majority of their webservices") are all powered by PHP, and in some cases Smarty. Also, several of their recent company purchases (Flickr, etc) are also powered by PHP.

Yahoo employs multiple PHP Internals contributors (the guys that modify PHP itself), including Rasmus Lerdorf.

Its not deceptive at all - Yahoo is very much powered by PHP!

I've heard that as well, but I haven't seen any articles confirming it, or specifically naming portions that they use it for. Has anyone found a solid article mentioning such?
