Advertising experience?

Post by s.dot »

How many of you have purchased advertising? What was your experience with it? What sites/companies do you recommend? CPA, CPM, CPC? Banners or text?

I'm looking to buy some advertising and I want the best bang for my buck.
Set Search Time - A google chrome extension. When you search only results from the past year (or set time period) are displayed. Helps tremendously when using new technologies to avoid outdated results.

How you market a product (eg a website) depends entirely on what it is. What's effectively for one thing might well not be so effective for another. For example, Google AdSense with awful for one of my clients, expensive with barely any return .. but for another one it doubled their traffic without much outlay. The difference was with their keywords .. the first client went very broad with pretty generic terms, the second one went very niche with words only people very interested in their product would ever search for.

Soo.. err.. AdSense might work.
