I only want people to answer this if they are programming PHP either full-time or freelance. Amounts are GBP before tax.

You don't need to reveal your identity I'm just curious what the stats will say :) Oh, and be honest ;)

I only work for 4 months of the year, while I'm not in school .. although I did calculate it as if I worked the full year.

I voted the smallest amount because I actually spend most of my work time at my full-time, non-developer job (in which I earn a pretty good salary). However, when it comes to developing, I earn a little bit (like, literally, a little bit). But I'm working on it.

I've voted based on last years salary .. it's tricky to be exact because I get a performance related bonus every quarter.

Only way I've ever got customers is word of mouth. I put a £400 advert on yell.com for a year and I haven't had one job off it yet, I'm 10 months into it.

Seriously depends on living conditions and cost of life. In some places that could be relatively high, some places quite low.

Definitely... half of my wage packet disappears the day I get paid :(

£300 rent
£100 council tax
£50 car insurance
£200 parents (loan still paying)
£200 to 3 other creditors

Then I spend about £100/month on petrol too.... all adds up really.

Does it count if you manage full time a team who programs in php?
