...and do you love them or hate them? Think about your best or worst experience and share your frustrations. I need some good war stories for a presentation.

thanks for your help!

I have my own business creating web sites - have about 200 customers - in general almost all of them I would consider friends. Usually the only ones that I "fall out" with are the ones that don't pay. My best story is a guy locally...

Contracted me to build a web site for his Bed and Breakfast - he was retiring and moving from the city to the smaller town where I live. They were building the house, so they needed a "comming soon" banner up for about 6 months - and a full site later when they could get some photos etc... I created the banner site and waited the 6 months. He even set up hosting with my buddy so he could get email and be ready to go... 6 months later - I tried to email and call him - but nothing - left several messages - nothing, a year later his hosting expired so the host dropped his account. Then he calls us - screaming at us for not getting things finished for him... Said he had never been accused of not paying his bills and was furious and would mever deal with either of us again... I had to eat the time for the banner site - but I wasn't so upset to see him go.

Other then that - it's all be pretty much roses.

My one steady client has been great.

He's nice, pays well, and knows what he wants, and that sometimes things aren't going to be easy (or cheap).

Other's haven't always been so good.

I know one thing for sure, if it wasn't for my everlasting patience and sympathy for the non technological savvy people, my head would have exploded by now through frustration. I've often been put into situations where a deadline was approaching and it was imperative to include new features or whatever that would undoubtably cause the project to be delayed (working 48+ hours straight anyone?).

Other than those kinds of clients, I've had a lot of them that "get it" and are very pleasent to work with, and often are the ones with repeat business.
