Starting a new site

Post by thatsme »

Hello friends,

I want to start a site where domain names advertised for selling will be listed. Any one can bid for the domain names. I will be charging from the clients who wants to get his domain sold for advertising his domain.
The domain owner can contact the bidder at any time and proceed his business, the site will not be involved in anything related to their business deals etc.

I would like to have your suggestions and the requirements

arborint,

Thanx for replying.

Initially there won't be any domain sellers. If it is a forum i can create dummy names and post to increase hits. Should i have to own some domains to list, untill clients start to register for listing their domains? Any other ideas would be helpful.

You might want to see of you can put together a list of available sites by various means. For example, you could scrape sites that post available domains, or use search engines to find domains that are being camped on (with those fake search engine home pages). If you were clever and aggregated available domain name information from multiple sources you might actually become useful. Once you had given away information for free for a while and be come useful, then find way to make money.
