I give up. Your host haven't got a clue. If they are telling you that IP and they are saying that those four lines of code are written wrongly they really haven't got a clue. This sort of attitude with web hosts winds me up something rotten. They clearly haven't even looked at your code (I assume you did actually send them the code and didn't just link to the page?).

I can't help you any further with this sorry... I couldn't make it any clearer with such a small snippet of code ;)

Yes, I showed em those four lines, they kept telling me they are not programmers (always saying thank you, if you need further assistance..)
They must be pretty dumb. In any case, does my other thread on sitepoint mean anything to you.
Is there another way to do this?

The short answer is "no", unless you try the other connection classes.
