Firefox 3.7 Design
I thought this was pretty nice, much better than 3.5.

Re: Firefox 3.7 Design
Firefox has always been pretty sexy imo
But 3.7 does look rather cool.

Re: Firefox 3.7 Design
ugh. is this the description for an upcoming design of Firefox or one for a 1998 game console?Toolbar and Tabs using Glass. Buttons translucent and slightly glossy to meld with the toolbar. Raised 3D lookachieve tactile "feel".
The transparency in that first screenshot is horrible. Especially with a background like that
Re: Firefox 3.7 Design
I quite liked it
Thought it looked kind of retro...
Re: Firefox 3.7 Design
Not sure about using it on Windows, but now that we've got Personas, I'd like to see FF supporting RGBA windows on Linux. I run with desktop effects, it would be nice to have just a little subtle transparency in the background behind my tabs and such.

Re: Firefox 3.7 Design
The issue with Mozilla is that they have a lot of people who break the critical functionality of the browser while implementing useless extensions. I can't remember the extensions offhand (because they were useless and thus I didn't use them) however they axed off the go button which is much more important then most people realize as far as usability is concerned.
However if Firefox retains it's customizability then I welcome the changes.

I did always wonder why there was no "go" button...

Oh yeah. I never noticed that xD
I retract my statement - that's actually better than having a static go button.

Re: Firefox 3.7 Design
Looks too much like Vista <span style='color:blue' title='I'm naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> to me! Wonder how it looks on Linux.

Just to remind everyone, this is just a mockup. Mockups can change a lot. For example, check out these Windows 7 prototypes: http://mintywhite.com/tech/windows-7/wi ... reenshots/
As for what Firefox looks like on Linux... it has very nice integration with the Desktop, which is good. In the Linux community, we tend to like interfaces that follow the guidelines of our chosen desktop. It looks roughly like this:
