Big IE problem

Post by LDusan »

I am having big problem with IE, so whenever I start IE8 it asks whether I want to restore previous session or go to home page. Whatever I do it displays res://ieframe.dll/acr_error.htm#, I googled it, but most sites just describe the problem I can't find the solution. I tried reinstalling IE, nothing.

Any ideas?

May sound stupid, but are you closing it down properly?

Also, why use IE8 at all may I ask? There are far better browsers out there...

I know, I use Firefox, but I am trying to fix some IE-only bugs that are appearing in my php application. I cannot even close it, it freezes, so I have to ctrl+alt+del.

Hmm...

Well since you're not closing it properly, that's probably why you're getting the "restore session" message.

This might be useful. It might be worth googling other reasons for IE8 crashes.

I'm afraid I can't really help further...there are probably thousands of reasons why IE8 crashes, being the piece of crap that it is :P
