Do I need PHP for this project?

Hi , I am a remodeling contractor, and I have estimator spreadsheets (Oo)that I would like to use on the web, but I would also like to make them downloadable for purchase.
I have gotten a couple of answers on this. One was I need to have it programmed in Javascript. The other was PHP. Then to throw a wrench in it, my brother who works for intel said if he had time to do it, he would use C++. He's to busy with work to take care of this for me. Anyway, can I get some opinions out there as far as what I should do?
They are simple estimators, with just a few user input's, and then the results.

If you have any comments on this, could you also include where a good place would be to go for a programmer. Sorry, I don't know anything about this, so any help would be a big help.

Thanks

Yup, you're trying to create something like an e-commerce website where you're selling your software? There are some available open source web applications for that which you can use (you can google them)... but hmmmm.. using C++ for the website? uhmmmmmmm i don't know how he's going to do that cause i haven't seen a website made in C++.. but i'm sure PHP is one of the numerous tools you can possibly use.

I'd use Javascript for the web-side.

As for the selling the spreadsheets for purchase, I'd use a pre-built ecommerce solution rather than re-inventing the wheel.
