College Options for the Programming Realm

Post by Jonah Bron »

Hello, world!

Over the past few months, I've been looking at different college options. I would really like to get a degree in Computer Science, but I don't know what the best choices are, in terms of what potential clients or employers look for. Is an online college suitable, or do I need an on-site solution? Can I use distance learning from a physical college? Is one diploma as good as another? These are questions to which I don't have an answer, but I'm hoping someone out there does.

Thanks.

I would tend to think an online college won't give you the same knowledge a physical institution would, or even distance learning from a physical institution. Being instructed and having professors is a big help (it was for me) to not only pass the course, but make sure you understand what's going on in the course. I think physical institutions have a better developed curriculum than an online college would.
Real programmers don't comment their code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
