IE Mac and now Netscape! All we need now: someone convince the IE PC group to give up and we'll all only have to code for Mozilla, Opera, etc.! Horray!
Warning: Wishful thinking ahead.
Think we can find a way to get this kind of behavior into the operating system field? Windows doesn't need any new versions to come out ever again, right?

Even better would be to only have to code for Mozilla - Opera still has way too many glitches with the way it handles many javascript routines and definitely renders slightly different to Moztrollll wrote:and we'll all only have to code for Mozilla, Opera, etc.! Horray!
First we need to kill IE though

MyIE2 is possibly a step in the right direction for IE - is still very far short of making it the 'best' browser on the planet - most used maybe, best no.

netscape is good
I like much Netscape because it is an effective tool against the viruses which are coming into computers by the electronic mails; to design is also good!

Wait...who liked IE the best? Okay, you can have your opinion... Sad though it seems to me. The browser does handle html errors better than other browsers, however you can use html that word creates and it will display it! IE practically promotes bad design and implementation.
I think my favorite browser: Opera's Bork Edition. I know Opera can't handle lots of client-side tools, but it helps you to code for users stuck in the days of old (before version 5 or 6 of IE or Netscape).

umm Mozilla loads (from boot) about a second faster than IE here - 2ghz p4 win98.
IE promotes sloppy coding and amateurism and needs patching every second week to stay ahead of the gaping exploits found. IE is holding back the web in presentation aspects as it will not render colour beyond 24bit - ergo wil not render alpha channelled information such as transparency or luminance. IE is so bloated with proprietary carp that no self respecting developer will ever use, 'cept those using frontpage.
Grapevine word also indicates that new versions of IE (maybe as soon as ie7) will only be released with OS releases - so unless you buy windows2004 you will have to pay for ie7.
only one thing I like about IE and that is
<input type="crash" />
