Theres an air show by my apartment every few months, makes me feel like im in the middle of a battle zone. Kinda brings up my work ethic though, thinking about the software that runs them.
You'll get used to them. One office I worked at was about a mile from the end of the runway at a USMC air station, and all day long pilots practiced touch & go, and the u-turn back to the runway was almost right over us. Got some nice views of I think F18's
They had a yearly air show that brought in the Blue Angels, and we got to watch them practice from our parking lot.

Just thought I'd share
There is an air show in Toronto every year, which happens to be minutes from my apartment as well. Every time they pass anywhere nearby the whole apartment shakes and you coudn't hear your own voice if you screamed. Certainly is a challenge if your programming

Dude they shook my whole house. Theres this big lake and im 1 block from the air field. You see them fly by, and then AFTER they're gone you go deaf. lol. They look like they're literally RIGHT outside my window, because they go really high up then do a dive to gain speed, and they seem to use the space above my house for gaining speed, leveling out from times, and turning around, so yeah I think I'm getting a better show then the people at the air show lol. A scarier one at least. I could probably read any words on the tail if there were any.
Its kinda cool though because everyone goes out in to the streets to watch, like everyone ALL over town
Even with airplanes screaming overhead you have no right to complain.
Actually neither do I...this fall has been waaaay above normal...it's still above ZERO...which for this city is amazing...by end of December I'll be encapsulated and house bound for months under several feet of snow and cold.
I used to live in Eastbourne, where they have the UK's biggest airshow every year! That was absolutely crazy. So many people, so many planes, old and new.
