Not really. What are they doing other email providers don't? Running my text thru an algorithm that selects a contextual ad category? I don't find that as an invasion of my privacy.matthijs wrote:Do you people have any concerns about privacy issues?
Actually on second thought I don't like the idea of my contacts being published. What if "naughty xxx" came up as one of your followers?
I did find this link by navigating to http://www.google.com/profiles/me/editp ... it=t#about
Delete profile and disable Google Buzz completely
This will disable Google Buzz integration in Gmail and delete your Google profile and Buzz posts. It will also disconnect any connected sites and unfollow you from anyone you are following.
I don't remember what "google profile" is or ever agreeing to create one, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It's probably my fault for failing to read the privacy policy for this "google profile" thing.
I trust them not to publish anything else about me without my consent.
Also guys the "followers" list you are seeing is not fully visible to others
So you *and* the other person must first have opted into "google profile".These people haven't yet created public profiles. Until they create profiles, they won't be visible to others in the list of people you follow.
