I think by the time they realized what was going to happen it they had already accepted their fate.

LOL! I think that was the case. I can imagine one of them going home and saying something like "I was stood next to the flooded train crossing and the waves were 30 feet high".
Brilliant post, thankyou.

It looks like it might still be raining. When you're already soaked to the bone, do you really care if you get wet again? I'd imagine since it' Argentina, that the water isn't exactly freezing cold.

When I was about 10 Palm beach had a pretty bad flood. our friends from school were surfing home from school (towed behind cars). Me and my lil bro got towed on "boogy boards". I remember there were snakes & ants in the water, all sorts of unfriendly creatures. Our neighbor caught this weird catfish thing with a net in his driveway.
The least of a flood victim's worries is a little "splash"

Weird how kids experience different things...I remember being a little kid and getting picked up at school on a snowmobile because the buses stopped.
Cheers,
Alex
