dvd converter

Post by oliverian »

Are there any free dvd converters that don't use a watermark? Every time I start to download one, the watermark shows up.

One more question (sorry). If I have a dvd I want to put on my site (we made it, so no copyright issues.) What type of file should I put it in? I am confused between flv and swf, why do you need both?

Thanks!

A quick google search for "Open Source DVD Ripper" returns plenty of options.

Adobe has a media convertor which comes with Flash. You should be able to use that to convert video media to FLV format.

You build a video player in flash, and publish the player as a SWF. You encode a video to FLV or F4V, then use the SWF to load and play back the video. Your question is akin to asking, why do I need both a DVD and a DVD player?
