Nah, just order the tickets to get sent to your home (PO Box works even better) and select "Bill Me" if you can and have it sent to your place of work. But ATTN: marketing or something so your boss won't find it until you've already shown the tickets to HR and gotten a company credit card approved for you for additional expenses.
If you freelance: even easier. Just mark it as a mandatory training exercise and bill it evenly distributed over the next couple of months. Your client probably won't even notice.

I find the best phrase I can use at work when the boss is getting on me to finish something is the tride and true "multidimentional associative array" to us its no biggie but to the lay man, its a dooooosie
