trollll wrote:Exactly. Fits the description of most people I've had the misforture of meeting.

On a lighter note, I just find it amusing that people try to insult other people by saying "jews killed jesus!" Ummm... Hang on a minute, didn't christianity come from judaism? According the Merriam-Webster dictionary it would even qualify as a sub-cult of judaism.
I don't know much about the Judaism, but religions that are connected to each other always says the similar subjects, like God, Hell, Paradise, being trusted etc..., and also the the subjects about the prohpet' s social environment subjects. And wars, hateful comes from the second area. But anyone who look the totallywhat religon is and what not can see this.
For example at those times Hebrew people was under attacks of Egypt Empire. And most of the Jewish insructions says to beave as behaved. This is about those times. After centuries Christ said to behave peacefully, so that the powerfull Roman Empire can be educated to not to be wild.
Years later after the Roman Empire divided as Byzans and Roman Empire, the hate between sisters spread on the religion the Chatholics and the Orthodoxs hated each other for years, even during Mehmed II 's attack against Istanbul, commonly known as Costantinapole in US and EU. There was hate and wars between the Christians again after the Protestant Church and the Catholic Church.
On the other hand the hate between Muslums started after 30 years of the Mohmed(SAV)'s death. The power disagreement between the Arab Tribes. I have read that one of the, known as, holy man saw Mohmed(SAV) in his dream and Mohmed said sadly him "They all started to fight and kill each other again".
And after that fight Islam was divided into three power parts: The Sunni s, which is now the known as the most populated part, because of the Turkish States Ottomans and Seldjukians was in that power, the supporters of Ali(r.a) and his family, and the third is protestors of those two groups. The third group mostly used the ideas from supporters of Ali, they commonly known as, also nowadays Iran ideology, the Shians. There is the fourth one, which caused the 11/09 recently, was settled during the World War I. by spy actions in Saudi Arabia , Southern Iraq and in Palestine of Allied Powers, they are the Vakhabees.
Although there were wars in Jewish people but there is not much documents about them, they were divided into two, the old Israel and the Yehuda, but as I said ı don't know much about them lack of documentary.

Why I write these this was my termwork, History of Religions, instead of doing a work in Physics or Mathemaics I choose this easiest one, more time for computer  .
And see that all wars and hate was cme from the Power disagreemnets. Maybe the most known reasons are reilgious reasons, but come to real world.
For example many of people in the world thinks that Mehmed II captured Byzans wih religious reasons, not exactly. When you look at the point of Istanbul in the Ottoman Land you can see the importance of that little part of land. Also in old Turkish Statesif your family is the ruler of the country, you, your sisters and brothers, and also all of your cousins can be the Ruler. Byzans used this many times at the end the Mehmed II didn't let them to use it any more...
Also nowadays attacks over Iraq and Afghanistan are similar to those in the past. But people around the world can look on the event from different points, because everyone wants the best for himself/herself. Also in the sam way on looking the religion

//Maybe made some mistakes , and used the Turkish syntax while writing tis post. I am sorry for them...

Well, yeah. Religion, power and politics never really existed as separate entities, which I think causes so much of the crap going on between groups of people that just don't know what to make of each other. As Lister (the Red Dwarf one) put it,"They're just using religion as an excuse to be extremely crappy to each other." (going from memory, so approximately the quote)

My wife gets really into the whole history and how amazingly interconnected all of these religions started. Once you actually figure out the connections and branching off for each sect it starts to look a lot more like a dysfunctional family tree. And then once you mix in the politics and social aspects of the time it just gets really difficult to see how these people ever created a civilization in the first place! Until you look at how they all work against (with) each other to keep the population at bay. I never really got into studying this stuff in too[/] much depth. I just find it way too depressing to look at humanity. Especially when it involves politics and religion. All it needs for complete disaster: capitalism to take over and sell the world Microsoft products at inflated rates. Oh, wait...
