Virtual Desktop and Music Streaming

Hi everyone,
Ok, here is my situation. I have a computer at home running debian lenny. It is basically my media server for my home holding all my music and whatnot.
Next is my work computer. This computer is running Windows 7.
What I do at home right now is this: I have my laptop (also debian lenny) in my room and my media server in my living room. When I want to watch or play something from my media server to my laptop I just mount an ssh connection and can play everything I want on totem on my laptop from the media server. It works perfectly, no problems.
Problem 1:
I want to replicate this on my windows computer here at work so that I can listen to music, etc. I can't think of any way of mounting an ssh connection as a hard disk on windows. How can I go about this?
Problem 2:
I want to have a virtual desktop setup so that can control the media server via GUI from my windows computer here at work. What programs do I need on both ends to do this? Really it is just so that I can manage some things going on on the media server from work which have to be done via a GUI.
So, if anyone can help me with any of these problems that would be awesome. Thanks.
