"Best" is a relative term because you don't specify what would set a netbook apart for you and because each person prefers a different product due to various reasons. Look at cost, specifications, your needs, etc then pick the product to fit said requirements. Hth

My dad has a Toshiba NB305. It's pretty nice, and has a very good battery life. The only drawbacks I can think of are
  1. There are several points on it which show wear just because of contact between the two surfaces coming together
  2. It comes with Windows

Macbook Air 11 or 13 inch I would say. Not the best in terms of price I guess. But if you want portable+specs+nice OS it would be my choice. I read about a couple of webdesigners switching from Macbook Pro to Macbook Air as their main machines (including photoshop work and even running virtual machines with windows) so the time has come that netbooks are powerful enough to do some decent work on them.

It's funny how a rhetorical question asked by a spammer has now turned into a serious topic. :)

After all these years hanging around here we have turned into some kind of bots as well, answering questions almost automatically :)

Heh, I thought Social Experiment asked it. If you read it just right, it sounds a lot like he's giving specific parameters for the kind of "best" he's looking for :)

:banghead: This has happened before (to me), spammers (or newbies) posting something then their post gets deleted.

Another interesting thing about this topic is the author symmetry: A-B-C-D-C-B-A. It's too bad I had to break it. Now it's A-B-C-D-C-B-A-D.

What immediately drew my eye was that the last three letters of that rhythm spell "Bad".

An omen? Or some kind of masonic code, maybe.

Hm. Look at the middle two letters: "D-C", which obviously is an acronym for "District of Columbia" (Washington DC for those not in the US). Unquestionably a government conspiracy.

A-B-C-D-C-B-A-D
a patch cable is ABCD-CBAD, where normal is just ABCD-ABCD

The plot thickens...

Hold on a second, I think I see what is happening here. Take the first word of the first four posts.

Take the initial letters of social_experiment, matthijs and McInfo's posts and combine them with the first word in Jonah's post.

It's scary to think that with all the focus on spam bots we have forgotten about the tactics used by some of the world's biggest companies.

I feel so used. I had no idea I was a pawn in a conspiracy of this magnitude. I shall attempt to be more cautious.

Edit: Through additional analysis of the author codes, now A-B-C-D-C-B-A-D-B-E-B-A-E-D, it appears that the DEA has secretly gotten involved. This is bigger than we thought.
