19" servers experience?

I'm thinking about turing a piece of my basement into a server storage area using 19" racks.

Does anyone have experience with what the market has to offer?
Is it worth it, comparing to an ordinary desktop chassi-variant?

If you have a 19" setup (home/work doesn't matter) and have time, please do list a brief inventory of it's contents. :)
It would be nice to see what fellow members have in their intranet solutions.

Woah, start your own RackShack eih? Well, I've never tried it but it might be something good if you can get a good buck for it. I don't think most of us here are web hosts but a lot of people from WHT foums might know (http://www.webhostingtalk.com).

Good luck =D.

ps: would you give me a server when you're very successful? =D lol jk

I have some ideas, as I might, just might, recieve a bigar*e connection in a near future (Starwars tune playing in the background...). ;)

And yes, if it comes out well, there are some PHPDN community ideas for it (but a server... hmmm...)

Seems that we are discussing the same thing in two different threads ;)
