The interweb is broken :(

Post by twigletmac »

<plea>Could somebody please burn me a copy of the interweb onto CD :|. It's kinda urgent because I've just moved house and have neither phoneline nor broadband link until Thursday and one of our network admins forgot to feed the hamster that runs the line to the interweb from my place of work and we've got a very reduced service.

I realise that it may take a number of CDs, I'd have you e-mail it to me but our external e-mail currently can't be delivered (4000 items and counting). It would also be nice if I could just grab a copy via FTP but that isn't working either. It would be more secure if you could put it on a secure server but unfortunately the interweb service we do have doesn't allow me access to those types of sites (you know, the dangerous ones with https:// in front of the address).

Oh well, at least I can access some things again, wasn't able to do that until today and the hamster's been dead since Thursday last week...</plea>

Whoo, hoo. Apparently the hamster isn't dead it was just tired and the internet now works properly (at least it has for the last hour).

You should switch to pidgeons, Mac. They're much faster.
