Re: First job as a developer!
It's as an in-house developer for a navigation and tracking company that use a web-based reporting system, with live-tracking of company vehicles ect. They wanted somebody with some PHP experience but to a limited extent as the head-developer has worked the project from the ground-up knowing nothing about web development; so they didn't want to employ somebody with formal qualifications (degree, college diploma) so it seemed that I was ideal!
- They pay £18,000p/a (which I'm more than happy with, considering the level)
- They provide free private health-insurance
- They pay a monthly peak gym-membership
- 42 paid holidays (plus bank holidays)
- Training that leads to nationally recognised qualifications
I cannot wait to start in the New Year!

Re: First job as a developer!
Thank you! I'm very excited to learn more about web development; this is what I've wanted to do for a few years now, but having not gone to University along with my friends from school after getting a taste for earning a wage doing shop work I thought that my chances were gone!
Hopefully I'll get round to doing a BSc and MA in Computer Science in Chester near my home town in the coming years. I'm so happy for myself! (sorry to rant)
