Frustrating, not frustrating

Post by Bill H »

Frustrating: We got a new furnace installed a couple of months ago, replacing one that was 35 years old, including a programmable thermostat, and the installer did not program the dratted thing quite right. Like Califdon, I have at least dabbled in 13 of those computer languages I joked about earlier, and I have spent almost three weeks trying to reprogram it, and am having no luck at all. For one thing it is mounted on the wall at chest height, so being able to see it in my trifocals is a real trick, but the furnace is presently operating, shall we say, creatively.

Not Frustrating: I usually don't talk about this, because I don't really think about it much. Sobriety has just become normal to me by now. But it has now been precisely thirty years, today, since I took a drink. It seems like both longer and a lot shorter, but these are the good times.

Clarification: No, the first item is not endangering the second item.
