Calling anyone in MANCHESTER, UK ( or the North-West as a whole ).
If you have any North-West related discussion that you just cannot contain, or you have an over-whelming desire to assist or seek assistance from a fellow Northerner please see -

I'm not here on this site trying to promote something for money, I have paid for the server costs for this project out of my own extremely limited pocket so as to provide some antidote to the traditionally London-Centric attitudes of the creative media of the UK.
This is purely to promote a strong community of creative people outside of London ( that includes designers and developers. )

Some of the best UK designers (in many industries) are based in, or work from, London or just outside it. Anyway, how can you say an "antidote to the traditionally London-Centric attitudes of the creative media" when you can't turn on a TV or Radio without seeing or hearing 'northerns'.

It's probably because they work for peanuts and aren't smart enough to find their way home, and hopefully it's just a phase that the media are going through.

Seriously though ( I presume you are joking.... )
there is a burgeoning scene in Manchester ( and the North at the moment ) with gallery after gallery opening even in smaller venues such as Prestwich.

Unfortunately, a lot of the generic malarkey pumped out of the Olufsons from the Smoke still seem preoccupied with Goa and space-dusted Romanians.
Of course Manchester does not have the vast community a la Londinium but what it does have is as tight knit community willing to exchange idea's, without tripping over pop idols and beefeaters at any given time.

Jake & Dinos Chapman have a base in Manc now. The Cornerhouse is being developed to install art into the minds of small child canvases.

Compare the output of Granada to the sub cable outpourings of Carlton.
Whilst you lot were jiving to Sinita we had a Guy Called Gerald.

C'mon help out here - it's a genuine question Mesz requires an answer for.
