I am using outlook.com now instead of the old 'hotmail.com', and have four 'Messaging' conversations. Two of them are with people are very rarely chat with, so I Want to close the converations so only current regular ones are showing.
It doesn't seem to give the means to delete, remove etc.
Can you? Or are you forced to retain all convos, including those you will probably never use again??

First of all, make sure your chat history is set to off, (Gear --> More mail settings, Messaging history --> NO THANKS!!)
Then: Go to People (yes, the red icon next to the calendar icon), find the contact that you want to have its chat history removed, delete the contact, and then just recreate the contact. That's it.
Regards.
