It's all bots so there's no time spent by a real person.

Not being a spammer myself I couldn't tell you their real reasons, but if I were doing it myself? There are two problems for spam: automatic spam filters, which are generally pretty easy to bypass, and human moderation, which is pretty much a perfect filter. Without any links the spam is much less likely to be caught by an automatic spam filter, so if the content gets deleted then it's likely that there was a human moderator at work. However if the content remains then there's no humans involved and all you, as a spammer, would have to do then is avoid the automatic filter.
Typically you'd just spam, but if it gets deleted quickly then you were wasting your time. Doing this check first means that when it does come time for a person to be involved, they'll have generally better success getting their spam to viewers.

But they are having to load the product page, enter the text, enter the correct capthcha code, and then submit. Then do it again.
No links. No brand information. I just don't see the final purpose to it.

Maybe just to annoy and make me write on here asking why they are wasting their lives doing it?

I have to agree with Requinix; they're probably checking for the existence of human moderation to assess whether it's worth trying to post 'real' spam

The final purpose is to spam you, but they'll only do that if it's worth their time. That's what they're checking now. If you lighten your restrictions and let the spam through, you'll see real spam come later.
