We use MySQL Workbench here at my employer's site. If I install MySQL and MySQL Workbench and then WAMP with all of the products, wouldn't something in WAMP in regard to MySQL conflict with the MySQL installations previously installed, or are they put in different folders?
I want to have one installation that is WAMP, and then another that installation on the same machine with MySQL and Workbench. Is this possible or will one of these programs start barking? I sort of asked this in another posting, but I am not sure if I articulated it clearly enough.

Is there any reason not to remove the existing MySQL server install? I'm sure there are ways to tell WAMP or whatever to use a different server, or possibly even choose which components to install, but it almost seems like more trouble than it's worth.
