I now know the reason why my specification is not available.
I want the signal from the usb sockets for mouse and k/b to go thru the port and down the cable. But HD monitors either use VGA or HDMI; neither of the two transmit data. They only transmit video and audio.
And if you found a monitor that runs via USB instead, it's not transmitted true HD to the monitor.
So I will have either connect the k/b via bluetooth or usb, and the mouse the same. Or, get some sort of hub to connect them, but even then I will still have 1-2 plugs to put into the Laptop.
PC Monitor needed, with a difference. USB conn's required

Yeah, as I mentioned earlier, the monitors basically have a USB hub in them. You'd still need to run a USB from the laptop to the monitor. My laptop only has two USB ports and I need one for the backup drive, so I ran one into the monitor, and keyboard/mouse out from there.

I'm looking at getting this one.
Tho it is full HD, it is on a VGA, not HDMI. Does that make much difference?
It's height adjustable, which I want. And a thin bezel, which would be nice.
