I now know the reason why my specification is not available.

I want the signal from the usb sockets for mouse and k/b to go thru the port and down the cable. But HD monitors either use VGA or HDMI; neither of the two transmit data. They only transmit video and audio.

And if you found a monitor that runs via USB instead, it's not transmitted true HD to the monitor.

So I will have either connect the k/b via bluetooth or usb, and the mouse the same. Or, get some sort of hub to connect them, but even then I will still have 1-2 plugs to put into the Laptop.

Yeah, as I mentioned earlier, the monitors basically have a USB hub in them. You'd still need to run a USB from the laptop to the monitor. My laptop only has two USB ports and I need one for the backup drive, so I ran one into the monitor, and keyboard/mouse out from there.

so how do you connect the USB to the monitor and then mopnitor out to the devices??

I'm looking at getting this one.
Tho it is full HD, it is on a VGA, not HDMI. Does that make much difference?
It's height adjustable, which I want. And a thin bezel, which would be nice.
