This has got me stumped!!
This is a clean installation of Windows XP Professional.
When i insert a CD into my drive, everything works as expected. Can browse the CD, install programs etc.
The trouble starts after ejecting the CD.
Now, if i insert another completely differnet CD in the drive and go to browse it, i can see all the files that were on the previous CD.
I can even browse through the directories and copy files from there to my hard drive, even though that CD isn't in my computer anymore!!!
I have tried this with numerous CD's with the same outcome.
Eventually, the system will realise there is a new CD in the drive, but it is driving me crazy. I could undertsand if i could just SEE the files due to some caching option!?! but to be able to copy whole folders and files!?!?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Mark

Bech,
I cheated and found this:
"When u disable the autorun property of the CDRom this happens.
1.go to System Properties.
2.Device Manager.
3.Dbl Click on the CDROM item.
4.On the propety of the CDRom property tab check the autorun check box.
5.Restart the system."
