I have win 8.1 on a new laptop, and I am told that the start menu, from prev versions, came back.
Where is it?
I have had to resort to Start8 to get it back, but I am assured it's back.
In the screen where you right click and properties on MyPC, it says "Get more feature with a new edition of windows".
I don't know if that is Lenovo messing with me, or if it is an update that will get the new menu.
IS there anything I Can check or somewhere to find this hidden menu to bring the original back?
Where is the start menu that came back to Win 8.1?

The start menu is not back. What they added is the start button.

Ohhhh. Which goes to the damn charms screen.

Eh. I don't get why people are freaking out so much about it. It's like many people refuse to try it simply because it's different. Really, you would rather navigate through a menu to find the thing you want than click a button/tile for it? Do people not understand how to use it? If I want to run NetBeans (putting aside the fact that it's pinned to the taskbar) I hit WinKey or the start button and click the NetBeans icon that I (also) pinned in there, but with the menu I'd have to go to All Programs > NetBeans > NetBeans link.
