Seeking advice for a system/server - Mac book Pro

Post by publicGenome »

Hi Members,

I work in Bio-health domain. My work involves tonnes of data, and data keeping pouring in ceaselessly. To process these vast data, we have an internal application, currently hosted on AWS. Unfortunately, we couldn't have a test environment on AWS due to multiple, and different issues. Long story short, I'm genuinely interested to buy something similar to Mac book pro with all high end specs:

I've selected all high end things, and it is costing me $~10K.

One of the major problem with Mac is not all, infact majority of Biology/sequence analysis, image processing, commercial tools don't come with an OSX set up. That restricts lab to go for a Windows based machine.

I'm not familiar to what other options could be considered apart from Mac book pro.
Money isn't bar, but machine should be robust, and should be able to work without any troubles in long run, without setting itself on fire. :D

I'd highly appreciate your guidance here.
Thanks.
