A few days ago I did the Windows 10 update. Had no issues.
Yesterday I got a warning that I was low on disk space because it had backed up the 7gb or so of old files.
Microsoft helped me to get rid of it safely.
This morning however, in the Windows folder, is a folder called $WINDOWS.~BT.old, and it has nearly 5gb in it.
If the 'old' folder was deleted, what is this?
Spacemonger has found it for me, but I don't know if it is safe to delete, or if it is basically a "temp" version of the folder while it was trying to delete it all yesterday, as they did have Permissions issues going on for over an hour.
Thanks.

Re: Existing Windows 10 update - Windows.old folder removal?
Thx. It sounds like it might have stored it in TWO places, windows.old, and that location too.
Unless one was Win 8 and one was Win 10 before the latest update.
