So what do you call your pets?

Post by twigletmac »

I got a couple more rats today (to add to the three I've already got) and after a bit of thinking we've named them Apache and Moz:

So what pets do you have and what are they called?

My others are Harry, Schroedinger and Boris (rats) and Nutmeg and Curie (cats).

Five rats v two cats.. I guess you had to even up the score a little.

Can we place bets on which team eats the other first? A tenner on the rats here.

Don't have a pet but I made friends with a wild red deer hind recently. Was staying in a bothy, miles from anywhere when it came by, grazing, one moonlit night. I sat quietly in the shadows as the deer inched closer until she was just a few feet away. They'll usually run if they spot you from half a mile so it was amazing to be so close I could almost reach out and touch her. I wondered how far I could push this and started singing to her quietly. She barely looked up justcarried on nibbling away at the grass while I sang. Just one of those moments..

Ah if only I'd had a gun.

LoL! Your not supposed to shoot doe...But, I have an Italian Greyhound whos name is Bailey..We call him Beatle Bailey..Get it..the comic?....Anyway, here are some pics!

[Admin Edit: I turned the pics into links as they are a bit big and kinda mess the page up for me (and I guess others). If they were made a bit smaller they could be imbedded again.]

@ Straterra Nice pics mate but is there any chance you could make them a wee bit smaller? :)

I've got a scruffy lazy git of a dog who is known in the pet-world as Stig. Not sure what breed he is (cross-breed)... but he's got more hair than a shagpile carpet.

He does get renamed to something (@!$£~@%$) which I can not say here due to the little kiddies that might be watching... and this normally happens when I wake in the middle of the night blury-eyed, walk down the stairs to get a drink, and then trip over Stig who likes to sleep at the bottom of the stairs. He then looks at me (at this stage I'm normally in a crumpled-heap) with one of those "what the hell are you doing" type of dog-looks and then goes back to sleep.

Ahh, good 'ol Stig.

I've got a cock :). You know a male chicken? ;)

I had a dog a few years back. It started humping objects around the house all of a sudden. I've only got Jason to blame that on 8O...

When I leave the house I have to walk through that field on which sheep are grazing. I am always quite polite with them "Good morning, Ladies", "Good Evening, Ladies". Lo, and behold, the smallest of them now comes up to me whenever she sees me, I pat her on the head and then force myself not to think of lamb chop with olive oil, rosemary and garlic. And a bit of pepper, of course. Just a hint. Also, cranberries can be quite nice.

You see, it pays off to be nice to your future victims.

That's where the smart money goes. Harry (rat) has already bitten Curie (cat) twice.
