Looks good... Quite like the graphics and stuff. Would it still be forum-based or a custom-made script? Maybe even a little function where you can click a link and display the working (or otherwise) code... That wouldn't be too difficult to do.

I had another idea as well, but forgot it halfway through writing this :P

Oh, remembered, someone mentioned 'cross-language' games. This is something that's been done before. it was on SitePoint with PHP vs. ASP.NET. This is something that could be quite beneficial in learning a new language and to see how the some constructs adapt to other languages.

yeah, I could see that too - but I think a good "initial version" would be just PHP for now....I bet I can work up something by the end of this week that would work pretty well...

I definately like the idea, and I like the site design too! :)

The idea of public and private matches is cool.

I really like the idea of cross language tennis too, that, would probably be very beneficial to people like me who are thinking about learning another language, or who are already learning one. It's great to be able to compare how the same thing is done in different languages, and all being well, the end result will be such that the right tool will have been used for the right job... if you know what I mean. It's a great way for people to see what things other languages excel in, and thus they will choose them over X language because it's better.
