Getting paranoid here...

OK, I admit having posted the fake win2000-source-code in this forum. Just a joke: I googled for the source-code and this fake-code came up about 10.000-times :D . And I posted it here. And yes: in my profile is a link to my website.
But that is no reason for M$ to download my entire site the next day!!
12MB went to one IP-address in Microsoft Road one, Redmond, WA, USA!! 8)

I think we're being watched over here!!

Perhaps those M$-guys want to learn a bit....

Anyone else having experience in this subject?

Well, the visit came from 65.54.188.21 and ARIN told me:
OrgName: Microsoft Corp
OrgID: MSFT
Address: One Microsoft Way
City: Redmond
StateProv: WA
PostalCode: 98052
Country: US

NetRange: 65.52.0.0 - 65.55.255.255
CIDR: 65.52.0.0/14
8O

OK, that's not M$-road one, but that's not the point here

lol, dont you think M$ would know something is wrong when they downloaded your site and the size was only 12mb?!?! :P, the real source code is big, forgot how big, but big lol.

anywho, i dont think much harm will come to win users from the leak, cos most of the bugs already have been patched....well most of them .

It's not the 'sourcecode' M$ downloaded from my site (which is impossible, since the sourcecode isn't on my site), but they downloaded _my_ entire site (including the (empty) forum)!

Google does the same (more or less) to cache your site - minus the graphics that is.

So what is the problem?

The source is 213mg (compressed).. And harm probably wont come but patches don't change the source. Just dlls and such, I guess they could block a port or something but still. If there's a hole in the released source it could be found and exploited. The source is prety complicated though. I don't understand a thing! And there is profanity in it:

win2k\private\shell\applets\welcome\html\webapp.cpp(152): // HighContrast mode is turned on. This totally <span style='color:blue' title='I&#39;m naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> our style sheet as most of it will

lol, it was either a very <span style='color:blue' title='I'm naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> off programmer, or someone changed the comments, which seems more likely :P.

Knowing M$, it was probably <span style='color:blue' title='I'm naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> off programmers. I wouldn't dobt it at all! And that's too much source to go through and alter so I dobt eaven more that someone else changed it.
