Well, I guess I'm bored... Yes, I been absent... I have had a project to work on wh00h00t. Whatcha'll think ? Keep in mind it's not done.. I'm still working on it, but the catalog page should actually have some of their products in it later on today..

It's okay, but am not going to comment on the design seeing as it is a bought template.

damn skippy
bought for 50, sold for 800$
way i see it, a coder can't be good at both worlds... coding and designing. when you don't have a designer, templatemonster.com to the rescueeeee
but the code i wrote for it is pretty damn sweet... specially their administration pages heh.

Hey , you should ad it's good (ok i guess seems bad

)
it's really good but i think there s too much colors,
like the red is a bit agressive.. it "does" fit with the greens and the blue..
but to me i think you should always play in same tone of colors or have 2 different color that complete themselves
great work btw, i like the output..
you could do a nice flash with it
(i ll get flame on my last statement..

)

You can't catch me out on web templates
I "aquired" a couple thousand templates, so seen 'em all

Obviously can't use them, but great for ideas when i get "designers block".
I think they are a good idea when you can't be bothered with a design and just wanna concentrate on the working of the site. THere are some VERY good template available. THing is, the best ones are always in use the most, unless you buy a unique license.

yeah, but the page itself is gonna change.. all those pictures are gonna change. it's just the layout i liked. but wait til the catalog starts working heharhehar.. dunno. first catalog system i ever built and i guess i've gotten a little *too* excited about it. going to the client in about 20 minutes to upload some products. maybe then that will change some viewpoints.. maybe not lol..

Good luck, when you get to the client, thats when the site usually stops working

your right.. i mean ppl complain about " not beiing able to design" you doing the best thing.. you practicing your eye!!
i mean.. i do design i m okay.. my friend, his awesome.. and well the only difference it's that he browses like a "lot" and he prectices a lot
so it's a really good i think to look at template "for ideas" and then just build your own design from scratch

Yeah,
Thing is, i was a good graphic designer (IMO

), did it a college and such. Still do a lot of grapic design in my job at the moment, but i am officially a web developer. I only work for a small company, so i have to chip in and help design posters, corporate brochures etc.

yeah i know what you mean

i did same thing i'm originally a designer..
but i had to do html integration for a compagny..
(i didn't know really well how.. cuz i slept in all my Dreamweaver course)
but finally found out it was easy and i could now code better then my class mate cuz i do my "own" code..
but i do use DW.. i just don t use the "auto code"

that font is awesome.

It's Ok, but I really think you should resize that thumbnail images (perhaps using GD). 1280 x 960 Images are loaded and then resized to be 50 x 50 in size... it's too expensive in terms of consumed bandwith and page loading time.

dang, beat me to the punch weirdan.. i was gonna say make them upload imgnum_lrg.ext and imgnum_sml.ext, but GD would work better..

actually, i was working on the GD portion of it.. i just dind't have it finished and he had customer's wanting to see some trucks so i just resized them in html to get em up.. the tn's should be better now though.
