So, we should start thinking about how we gonna celebreate post #100,000!

I suggest a wild posting-fest, telling of PHP stories, a virtual campfire and a guitar performance by McGruff.

How about the 100,000th poster gets a free programming book of their choice?

You just don't want to play on your guitar ;)

But hey, I think it's a great idea to give away a book - question is: who's gonna pay for it?

We should put a paypal button on the portal page of devnetwork.

Funnily enough I was playing outside in the moonlight a month or so back, but on my flute not guitar (too heavy to stick in a rucksack). All the rats for miles around came scurrying out.

We've got some google ad money for books - would be nice to give one out once a month to a randomly selected guitarist sorry member.

Great idea, McGruff! We could write a little script so that it becomes more of a "competition" on the portal.php page.
What I mean is: we divide the time this board exists by the amount of posts and make very educated guesses about the accuracy of that date in relation to when the 100.000th post will actually be made: we are talking not just about the calendar date, but the hours, minutes and seconds as well. The one closest gets the book :)
