Our first computer was a 386 IBM compatible with stunning VGA graphics. It had a 5 1/4 floppy drive and a 3 1/2 one. It initially ran DOS but we had it upgraded a bit later to a 386DX running Windows 3.1.
Nothing dramatic here, my first was a Pentium 150 - Acer (bluk bluk), I'm a transformed work horse - into computer geek. I didn't even know how to load a program, just went to best buy and bought the thing.
Before the P 150, I only saw a few MACs and that was just looking at them. I had no interest in computers at all whatsoever back then. I was more of an outdoors person, dirt bikes, swimming across lakes (very dumb of me back then, no life jackets or support in case I got tired), etc. Anyway, you get the drift.
Sorry, no pictures. I threw that Acer out awhile back. In the trash where it belongs!!
There is one C64 emulator for Windows PCs - if you go on their website, the voice from "Mission: Impossible" greets you: "Another visitor! .... Stay a while... Staaaayyyyyy forevvvveerrrrrr!!!". And if you click on something it says: "Destroy him, my robots!"
