PayPal

Post by voodoo9055 »

I didn't know where to ask this. If this is not the correct forum, I apologize in advance. I seen several threads where people express their non-approval of using PayPal. I just want to know why some people hate using PayPal in their opinion? I am currently have a script made that will integrate with PayPal. I know Jason has his MyVirtualCard which is all good. What other payment processors would one suggest to integrate with for those who can't afford merchants like Verisign?

I find there are a non-trivial number of complaints about paypal, but its widely used, supported, and implemented world-wide. It also happens to be cheap, easy to use, and in MOST cases - very secure and fair.

When I can't use paypal, I usually suggest close alternatives like iBill, onlinemerchants, and the like.

But I personally put more trust in paypal.

Yes, I agree. Out of all those companies that work in that type of business field, I trust PayPal the most.

<plug>But I do trust myVirtualCard a lot too.</plug>

Most of the cases I read on paypalsucks.com are very rare freak accidents, where the user is as much to blame as PayPal is. I've yet to hear of a case where you simply deposit money and it just disapears from your account. Or anything that bad.

Bottom line: If you use PayPal the way it was supose to be used, then you'll be fine.
