How many of you are from London? And what do you think of the tech market there?
I am a PHP coder and some of the prospects look hot...
Hope to hear from you

Lifestyle: depends where you live in London. The tech-market is quite vibrant - Gen-Ik, lives in London, I believe - might be worth pm-ing him.
Best thing to do is sign up with jobserve.com - they post/email about 5 - 6 PHP jobs per day.
You'll be moaning about the horrendous transport there very soon... And don't forget your raincoat. But there are lovely parts to London.

You obviously haven't been on the London Underground at rush hour. Try central line at about 5:30pm... <shiver>reverend_ink wrote:Trust me I deal with San Diego traffic, nothing can be worse than sitting on a free way where you can do 70 MPH and are doing NOTHING... stand still, hot and <span style='color:blue' title='I'm naughty, are you naughty?'>smurf</span> off.
Forgot to mention: London has a PHP-Meetup group going (never been myself, though, so I can't tell you much about it). Have a look at http://php.meetup.com/?country=1056&loc ... etLocale=0?

Ignore my present location for a moment. I fully recommend London, especially "sunny" South London.
The public transport is certainly going to be better there than most parts of the UK (although it isn't bad in Glasgow, where I'm posting from).
As for roads where the speed limit is 70mph and you're not moving... well, you'll soon get used to the M25, especially around Dartford and Heathrow.
Lots of entertainment, nightlife, and there are quiet places to be found if you want them.
Good luck.

draco sorry canada is out. guys thanks alot for the info, if I could just get a company to hire me from across the atlantic it would rule, until then I just have to risk it and fly over... didnt want to do it that way, I really wanted to have something lined up before going, and my wife would be happier with me that way too
Cheers!
