What are you coding at the moment?

Post by Toneboy »

Universally popular, but a bit of a different theme instead of the usual listening to/reading/watching threads you see on so many boards.

I'm currently working on a very simple note jotting system (I'm quite forgetful, so making notes of things as they happen will be very useful), where I can log-on and add entries. Each entry is timestamped and is saved in a MySql table. Reading up on addslashes and stripslashes at the moment.

It's a personal project so I don't have an insane deadline to meet with this, but still my next project is set to be even more fun. It's called (Information Classified) and it's an (Information Classified).

Let's see... I am working on an In Out Board, a Quoting and Ordering Solution, and 2 classified projects. Yeah I'm a busy man. You have to love 60 hour work weeks in the office then coming back home to work some more.

This is my first commercial project and boy am I learning. Its funny how users think something is a little change when in fact you have to go back to the foundation and make serious changes to it two days before golive!

havent done hardly any work on it except character development, may never be released

- site redesign
a while back i created a very advanced PHP site, with private messaging systems, live web cams etc for a business i work for, im currently n the process of ripping out all the PHP and just doing it plai HTML as they dont need such a complex site, mofo's i spent 7 months on that site, i dont like it anymore so its getting redesigned

- Evolution-Design
personal company offering hosting and web development, was nearly finished around 2 months ago have had to put on backburner due to influx of work

- phr0zen hosting
only theory done atm, but will offer automatic domain creation etc etc, and will be my 3rd internet company (several owners)

other miscellaneous stuff
im always designing new stuff, most not worthy of mentioning

yeah so hell of alot, normally spend around 60-100 hours a week coding, have did many a 18 hour stint

I remember that dream in the early 90's with AECMA and SGML. Quoted as creating a paperless office by the year 2000. What happened, You use more paper now than then.

Good luck magicrobotmonkey.

A music "scenes" flash site running actionscript with a php/mysql interface
