Meet up, hang out, show an English born , American raised guy the ropes of the city?

Post how I can contact you if you are interested.

Thanks all!

I'm a good few hundred miles north of your new home but there's one thing I'd recommend to anyone coming to the UK for the first time: get your ass up to the Scottish Highlands. If you're into outdoors stuff there are thousands of square miles of wild land to go and explore, bothies to stay in, and some beautiful landscapes to stop and stare at. If it's not raining.

PS: take it one step at a time if it's your first time mountaineering.

Elgol beach, Skye:

That is beautiful! For sure headed to Scotland, but after my wife gets over. She has to get her visa approved...

And I want to be established before uprooting the kids and moving them 5000 miles.

How long are you planning to be away from your family?

Anyways, I heard that scotland was a great place from my english teacher (who's scottish, so it might of been a biased oppinion :P ). I wish I could go to England, Spain, or France. (I know English and Spanish fluently, and enough french to not feel helplessly loss)

I am however going to germany for some student exchange program, the only problem is I only know like 3 words in german, Hallow realpolitik (history class :P ), and Mien.

Good luck getting a job and stuff like that.

Make sure you're coming to the PHP Meetup in London - I couldn't make it last time but am aiming for the May meeting. I believe the meetings are first Thursday every month.

Oh, welcome to the UK - head down to Brighton if you're fed up with bad transport, stress and London in general and go and explore Sussex a bit. Beautiful part of England, actually.

Watch a live Aresenal football (soccer) match, with a mug of Carlsberg and a kit-kat in hand. I'm underage to drink but I've tried that, it's fun lol.

jk........the last time I been to England was about 6 years ago. Too bad I didn't know Mac or PatrickG then. lol, I was like 8 years old then. Wonder what Mac would do if a 8 year old came asking about PHP ..

I had a freind move to Lodon last September. So far she likes it - only one complaint that it rains (drizzles) much more than it should. Other than that, help out someone on PHPDN and have them repay your kindness by showing you around ;).

Good luck =)
