Ahh, attempted to install my kodak camera software friday night.
long story short it messed up my computer, reformatted it and devoted 90% of my weekend to it, the other 10% was using the bathroom and eating n sleeping.
Got all my drivers installed and all is back-up, and the printer dock that came with my camera dont work!
grrr!!! I feel bad for the person who will answer my phone call

lol, I had a similar experience when setting up / configuring my wireless router. The resemblance being not in having to reformat, but in that I had to devote a weekend to getting it setup.
Maybe people should contribute some of their frustrating experiences?

yeah cause it makes me feel better when I know some others share bad times/have it worse.

Something like Norton Ghost (if they still make it - an old W98 luddite here) is great for making disk images. A full reinstall - OS, drivers the lot - need only take half an hour or so. I seem to find that all the machines I work on or maintain need a full reinstall for one reason or another about once a year or so.

Hmm, thanks McGruff. I've heard of the product and seen it around but never given it much thought. With a recommendation from the guru himself I may just have to give it a shot
Thanks

I used to use Ghost back in the day, before Norton bought it.. it worked very well around the office.. easiest way to "fix" a computer, when the lovely user decides they don't like vmem.sys or something
