I like programming to:
Winter-
Ani Difranco
Mogwai
Tristeza
Al Green
Do Make Say Think
Summer-
Metric
Broken Social Scene
Cat Power
Janes Addiction
The Killers
Interpol
Recently I have been looping the Dresden Dolls.
They're a little anxious sounding though...
sometimes drinking too much coffee and pairing it with anxious music is like being on cheap drugs.
Oh, and the KEXP station on the iTunes radio stations is awesome. awesome...
I used to spin @ http://www.chrwradio.com as well, so you have to stick to roots.

What I am coding I life fast tempo music. Music puts me in this altered state of reality where the only thing that exists is me and the code. When I am in this state I can code quite a bit in a short period of time. If I do this for 6 hours or so straight my eyes will get really red so I always keep a bottle of visine nearby.
