i have been changing my style recently. i have different music for different situations. i find that if i need to get somthing done, fast, then I should put on some fast but more up-beat music like 'Less Than Jake' or 'Real Big Fish'. If I need to do some sort of crazy hack that just needs done but needs to be bullet proof then I enjoy bands like 'Transplants' or 'Rise Against'. Then if I need to do some horribly boring, slow paced nonsence (like handling a bunch of forms and putting the input into a database...boring!) then I enjoy my nice easy 'Death Cab For Cutie', 'Soul Coughing', 'Mike Doughty' and the sort.
Mainly I stick to my 'Bad Religion', 'Rise Against', 'Transplants', and the rest of the punk rock situation.

Been into Dire Straits and Porcupine Tree a lot lately. Good stuff. (that's a musical gap, eh?)

We have completely different styles of music, but I do the exact same thing in terms of different music depending on what I'm doing

I'm mainly into the punk rock aswell.
Recently I've been listening to alot of Alkaline Trio and Anti-Flag.
Although I haven't coded for a few months, I got back into FPS instead

Recently, because of how overwhelming managing my house has become, I have been coding to the sweet sound of my wife breathing while she sleeps on the couch. Funny thing is, I really don't listen to music that much while I code, although I have been listening a lot to
Ottmar Liebert. He plays a style of Flamenco/Gypsy music that is mind blowing.
Plus his site is developed using PHP.

For any classical likers/lovers out there, most stuff from the Baroque period is some of the most relaxing music I have ever heard, and great for programming.
